ABC Beer Co.

A 1,300 sq ft space transformed from an empty shell into a characterful craft beer garden, complete with an additional 340 sq ft of outdoor space.

The design sought to preserve the raw, authentic spirit of Alphabet City, incorporating found and reclaimed elements sourced from local streets and flea markets. Vintage pieces were carefully restored and reimagined—most notably an antique gas chandelier, adapted to feature replica Edison bulbs.

Exposed brick, reclaimed wood ceilings, and a 16-foot custom communal table establish a warm, underground atmosphere, balancing a rugged aesthetic with an inviting sense of intimacy.

ABC Beer Co. was awarded Time Out’s Best Beer Bar of 2013, recognised in part for its distinctive and atmospheric interiors.
